Elegant Fountain Pen
The fountain pen has long been a traditional writing companion—used for nearly everything up until the end of World War II. It was the tool of choice for signing important documents, treaties, pacts, and agreements.
What makes the fountain pen so special is its elegance and the unique character of its writing style. It leaves a rich, bold line that is instantly recognizable. The nib features a small rounded tip, onto which a droplet of ink is delivered and smoothly spread across the page as you write.
Fountain pens are loved for their fluid and graceful writing experience, requiring minimal pressure thanks to this clever ink delivery system.
We recommend a fountain pen for formal occasions, important meetings, or for anyone who prefers a more elegant or vintage writing style.
Stylish Ballpoint Pen
The ballpoint pen is a younger and more reliable successor to the fountain pen — but no less stylish. It’s ideal for frequent writing and more casual or informal settings.
Ballpoint pens use a disposable plastic refill filled with gel-like ink. Once the ink is used up, the entire refill is replaced. Inside the refill tip is a tiny metal ball that rotates as you write, applying a controlled amount of ink to the paper.
Compared to a fountain pen, writing with a ballpoint pen requires slightly more pressure, which can cause hand fatigue during longer writing sessions.
However, both types of pens we craft share the exact same external design when closed — the only difference lies in the internal mechanism.
Choosing the Right Wood
The choice of wood is, of course, entirely up to the preferences of the owner. In general, there are two main approaches you can take.
The first is purely personal — it simply depends on which type of wood you find visually appealing.
The second approach is more stylistic: choosing a wood that complements your accessories and wardrobe. Ideally, your outfit should follow a consistent color tone — your shoes should match your belt, briefcase or handbag, and even your watch strap. And to complete the look, you can choose a pen that fits right in.
Light Shades of Wood
Elmwood, Zebrano, Beech, Oak, Bloodwood, Leopardwood, Cherry — and last but not least, the stunning Olive wood.
Dark Shades of Wood
American Walnut, Wenge, Subfossil Oak, Padauk, Purpleheart, African Ebony, and the exceptional Desert Ironwood.

So, what does our selection look like?
If we had to rank our pens based on popularity — drawing from customer feedback, friends, and even our own preferences — the list would look something like this.
At the very top is undoubtedly Olive wood, celebrated for its truly unique grain. Each pen is different — twisted in its own way, with distinct tones and color variations. No two are ever the same.
In second place, we would definitely recommend the beautiful Zebrano. Its golden to deep golden-brown tones and striking grain make it a favorite for nearly everyone. Every piece is a small masterpiece.
Third on the list is Wenge — a dark, richly grained wood with a subtly porous texture. It’s bold, elegant, and timeless.
If you're looking for something a little more unusual — perhaps with colors that appeal especially to women — we suggest Purpleheart (Amaranth) with its violet hue or the strikingly red-toned Padauk. Both offer traditional grain patterns and carry an almost iconic presence.
But if you want something truly extraordinary, we recommend our limited edition Subfossil Oak — a 2,200-year-old wood with a story as deep as its color — or the incomparable Desert Ironwood, one of the rarest and most valuable woods in the world.
